Autumn/Winter Coats by Lighthouse Clothing

I don't know about you, but I absolutely LOVE Autumn. There is nothing better than wrapping up warm, putting on your wellies and going for a crisp country walk followed by a nice drink and some food in a pub somewhere, preferably with a roaring log fire.

I live in Chester which has North Wales on it's doorstep so there are plenty of places to go and explore. Over the past couple of weekends myself and my other half have been walking our dog, Fudge, up different routes of the beautiful Moel Famau, if you haven't been and you are close by or want a day trip out it's definitely worth a visit, the views are spectacular and you don't need to have the stamina of Mo Farah to climb it!

I had recently bought a nice coat from TKMaxx which is more of a 'work style' coat by French Connection and I was on the hunt for something cosier and more practical for our trips out. I was thinking a good quality bubble coat but the ones I had seen on the high street looked a little bit cheap and plasticy (I am aware this isn't a word, but you know what I mean right?), anyway I was then kindly gifted two coats from a brand I had not come across before, Lighthouse Clothing.

"Products that make life a little simpler.
Our coats have been designed with with care in Northern Ireland - where we know a lot about rain, wind and patchy weather forecasts. Inspiration comes from our love of the coast and our desire to make life a little simpler.
Lighthouse products are beautifully crafted, designed with style and ready for life’s everyday adventures. By being ready for anything, it makes your life a little simpler.
We believe that you don't need to sacrifice style for practicality. Each of our coats & jackets are as much at home on the high street or at the school gates as they are on a long beach walk in coastal drizzle.

Ready and waiting for any weather that you encounter in daily life, everyday adventures and weekend escapes."
Lighthouse Clothing 's website has a Joules-style feel to it but their products have a smaller price tag with the same, if not better, exceptional quality.

I am now the owner of an Iona coat and a Lara coat, I love them both, although I always seem to reach for my Lara coat as it's a beautiful shade of red, which for me is very daring compared to the rest of my coats, always being black, and it's so amazingly cosy, lightweight and versatile. If you are looking to get your mitts on one they currently have £20 off using code COLLAB-20, I can promise you it's a bargain for the quality you are getting (usual price £84.95 with free delivery).

Each coat has so many little quality details such as the logo, brushed finish zips and the highest quality linings and stuffing, whether that be down, feathers or some form of insulation to keep you cosy and warm! I've already had quite a few compliments about it and I have been sending my firends and family to their website.

"Stuffed full of R.D.S certified down, Lara is the standout puffa jacket of the season.

Made with a water repellent outer in three beautiful colours, Lara looks as good as it feels. An antique brass front zip with leather puller and two matching zip front pockets blend in with the quilting perfectly. It’s lightweight and cosy, made up internally of 90% duck down and 10% feathers. Also, when you’re done with the day’s adventures, Lara is safe to be thrown in the washing machine."

Lighthouse Iona Womens Warm Waterproof Raincoat - Navy

"Iona is a casual, comfortable coat with a soft touch peach finish - the coat you need this season.

Pairing waterproof, windproof and breathable polyester microfibre with shirt-like styling, Iona is a parred down, reliable coat for any kind of adventure. It has soft jersey lining in a contrasting nautical stripe, a jersey lined adjustable hood and cosy insulated padding. Falling to a fashionable, but still protective mid-hip length, Iona is perfect for everyday wear, all Winter long."

I am yet to take pictures of my Iona coat but I am planning a trip to the coast this weekend so keep your eyes peeled for it in action on my Instagram stories (LINK HERE).

If you are looking for a new coat for the new colder seasons then I would definitely recommend heading over to Lighthouse Clothing for a browse!
