If you have been living under a rock for a few years, which I am sure you haven't, I will just quickly explain the concept of Birchbox. Birchbox is a monthly subscription box which costs £12.95 (including delivery). You will receive a selection of deluxe beauty samples delivered to your door each month.
I remember many many years ago I signed up for every beauty box on the market, I even remember the days when Birchbox was first called Boudoir Prive and then it changed to Jolie Box before finalising the brand as Birchbox! I gave up my beauty box addiction because I felt they were all using the same sort of samples repeatedly and instead of getting excited about opening them I was often left disappointed, however the cunning marketing people at Birchbox sent me an email telling me if I signed up this month I would get to choose a full sized product (see below) and a free bracelet (again see below), so I caved in and signed up - I am easily persuaded when it comes to freebies.
Was I left feeling disappointed? Most definitely not, I was very happy with what I received! Not only was the box really pretty with a pastel design, I also noticed that they had changed the usual lift off lid to a more usable draw opening, which I think is a great idea as you could stack them on top of one another and reuse them.
So, what did I get.....
This Works 20ml sample of In Transit Camera Close Up RRP £30 for 40ml.
Amika Bombshell & Blowdry Spary 36ml sample RRP £14.99 for 237ml.
NUXE 30ml sample of Prodigieux Huille De Douche (scented shower oil) RRP £10.00 for 200ml.
Puriskin 15ml sample of the Nurse Aid Cream RRP £12.99 for 50ml.
Model Co Lip & Cheek balm in shade Just Peachy which is full sized RRP £14.00.
Plus the free bracelet, which I think is pretty cute, but, in my opinion, not worth the £15 Birchbox indicated it is, but I do like it a lot.
Overall I am very impressed this month and I can't wait to test out all of the products! I am already looking forward to receiving my next Birchbox. There is just one thing I hope Birchbox remember to do, which a lot of beauty boxes didn't do many years a go, is to look at your personal profile and take this into consideration when sending your box to you. You create a profile when you sign up on the website to give them an idea your personal preferences like your skin type, hair type etc so they can (hopefully) send you relevant samples to test out, nobody wants to receive a sample of no use to them.
If you would like to get this box, plus the free bracelet use the link HERE.
What beauty boxes (if any) do you sign up to? Would you recommend any of them to me?
