LUSH Dragon's Egg Review

I am usually a shower kind of woman, but every now and again I enjoy a long soak in the bath, but a relaxing soak in the bath is ever complete without a LUSH bath bomb! I have been feeling slightly under the weather and my wonderful dad brought me a delivery (in the cutest pineapple bag which you may have spotted on my Instagram HERE) of a LUSH Dragon's Egg bath bomb, one of my all time favourites.

"Dragon’s Egg makes bath time exciting as it fizzes and crackles and changes the colour of your water to a gorgeous citrusy gold. Its scent is reminiscent of lemon sherbet, with a hint of jasmine, leaving you feeling great and ready for a good day. Its citrus scents leave you feeling transformed and invigorated."

The bath bomb smells incredible, as do all LUSH products do to me, I know some people can't stomach even entering the shop, but I could literally live in there! It is packed with citrus oils and ingredients, making it really refreshing.

As soon as you drop it in the bath it starts spinning around (making it very hard to photograph) and eventually a golden fizz starts to appear. Inside is filled with a fine golden glitter and foam which continues to spin around the bath for quite some time, I got bored of waiting so jumped in with it and the bomb fizzed for ages, however once it settled the bath is left a bright yellow, which OK, doesn't look the best (too much Berocca comes to mind) but you can feel the essential oils on your skin making it silky smooth.

I did review this bath bomb back in 2011 (you can read my very old post HERE for more pictures). One thing I have noticed after looking back at my old post is the bomb has changed slightly - less golden bubbles and the price has increased quite a lot from £2.99 to £3.75 however it is still definitely worth it!

Have you tried Dragon's Egg?

  1. I have never tried dragons egg before, it looks and sounds quite nice! My favourite is the hawaiian blue one that makes the water look like the maldives. I love Lush x
