Breakfast With A Difference - Cafe FUDE Chester

It may not come as a surprise to my regular readers, but I am a little bit obsessed with finding new places to have breakfast. Each weekend I MUST have a cooked breakfast somewhere.....anywhere! It's turned into my weekend routine now, even when I go away we want to find different and delicious places to have a cooked breakfast!

Well, I think we have found (so far - if any places in Chester would like to challenge us that is absolutely fine by us) THE best breakfast in Chester! Cafe FUDE is just outside of the city centre on Christleton Road (CH2 5UG), it's a very small cafe which could be very easily missed.

From the outside it looks like a regular 'greasy spoon' cafe and inside is the pretty much the same however the food is just incredible so don't judge a book by it's average cover! We are slowly becoming regulars there now and we have tried a few different breakfast options. They do the usual English breakfasts, but even these options have a Mediterranean/European twist with different herbs, spices and feta thrown on for more delicious flavour.....

The vegetarian breakfast is not your usual boring plate of food people think vegetarians should eat, here you get home-made bread, sautéed potatoes and onions in butter, a choice of eggs and a tomato sprinkled with herbs and feta making it much more delicious!

Last time we went I decided to go for something different, The Italian Breakfast, which was the nicest breakfast I have had in a very very long time - Italian meats, poached eggs, home-made garlic ciabatta, beef tomatoes with feta cheese, black olives and balsamic vinegar. It doesn't sound like your average breakfast but it was absolutely divine!

Cafe FUDE do breakfast, lunches, coffees, teas and cake as you would expect in any cafe but everything is home-made by the owner Sion.
"Acclaimed chef Sion Newton has a wide and varied knowledge of the food experience. Aged 35 and with a commendable history as a pastry chef and head chef behind him, and earning for himself a listing in the Good Food Guide at Cheshire's Frogg Manor, he has now opened his own Gastro Cafe entitled FUDE in Boughton, Chester.
On the premises Sion bakes his own cakes and Mediterranean-style breads and pastries. He creates wonderful soups and fillings for his sandwiches and rolls. He has explored the European breakfast and alongside traditional English bacon and eggs serves Italian Eggs Benedict, kippers, poached haddock and fresh mackerel, when in season. The sauces that accompany these dishes are excellent and to be recommended. American pancakes are also available on the menu and two healthy options of milk shakes and smoothies are waiting to be sampled."
If you are visiting Chester and want a breakfast with a difference then Cafe FUDE should be top of your list, it's a hidden Gem rated 4.5 out of 5 on TripAdvisor! They also do outside catering for events and tapas nights too which I am yet to sample but if the breakfast is anything to go by I am sure it's delicious! For more information visit their website.
