August Empties

I say this every time I write an 'Empties/Favourites' post at the end of each month....where is this year going? Seriously, I cannot believe it's September already but in a strange way I am very much looking forward to Autumn/Winter this year.

I haven't used too many products up this month but I have discovered and rediscovered some gems!

Birds Of Paradise Eau de Toilette 100ml £16.50 - I don't know about you but I hate using my expensive perfume for everyday wear so when I discovered this perfume from M&S I was extremely happy with it, it smells just like CKin2u, the summer fragrance from Calvin Klein and the scent matches the staying power of CK! I won't repurchase this year as we are approaching Autumn but if it's still around next summer I will definitely be grabbing another bottle!

Advance Techniques 360 Nourishment Moroccan Argan Oil 30ml RRP £5.50 (currently on offer for £3.30) - This oil smells amazing, does exactly what you would expect from an oil, smoothes, speeds up drying time and helps with frizz without weighing hair down, I will definitely be repurchasing!

Balance Me BB Natural Perfection Cream 40ml £26.00 - Full review HERE.

Collection Sheer Loose Powder 20g £2.99 - This powder has honestly lasted me forever! I prefer loose powders to compacts when applying my makeup to set everything in place, it blends well, gives a matte finish without being too powdery? Make sense? I'm sure you know what I mean!

Clinique Powder Blush in Sunset Glow £22.00 - Again, this product has lasted me a lifetime, I use it mostly everyday for work and it really does last ALL day, the shade suits me perfectly, would I repurchase for £22.00? I'm unsure, I do adore the product but I do think that Sleek's blushers match the staying power of this one and are a fraction of the cost.

B Lengthening, Defining and Volumising Mascara £9.99 - This mascara didn't really wow me to be honest, it's an OK everyday mascara but I have used others for similar prices that are much more suitable for my lashes.

MAC Lipstick in Modesty RRP £15.50 - This is a product I rediscovered this month. I bought this some time ago and it fell to the bottom of my makeup drawers and I forgot I had it, this month I have been using it so much, its THE perfect everyday shade that would suit most peoples skin tone, this is one of the very few lipsticks I have used right to the bottom and I will definitely be repurchasing. I don't think I got round to doing a full review of Modestly so I have swatched it below for you.

MAC Modesty.

Have you tired any of these products? What have you been using up this month?

  1. I haven't tried any of these products but well done on finishing them. It takes such long term commitment to finish a product haha. I barely ever finish anything.
