If you are a regular reader you will know I rave about Sleek blushers, they are the most amazing value for money blushers that I have ever come across, they are a mere £4.59, last forever, stay put all day long and have fantastic pigmentation.
Many of you will know that Sleek blush in shade Rose Gold is renowned for being a dupe for Nars Orgasm which costs £21.50 (I reviewed it quite some time a go HERE), so I bought Rose Gold and use it all of the time.
This morning my lovely postman delivered a package, I didn't have a clue what it was as I couldn't remember ordering anything so I ripped it open to find lots of Sleek goodies which I then remembered was a free gift with a magazine subscription (I will investigate whether this magazine sub is still live and post about it tomorrow if it is) and inside was s Sleek Rose Gold blush.
I am more than happy to have two Rose Golds as I love the colour but when I opened it up I noticed a huge difference in the shade, I checked the back of each blush and they both state 'Rose Gold 926'.....
The top blush is my original Rose Gold and the Nars Orgasm dupe, it's a burnt orange/coral with gold flecks in, very pretty, and below is the new Rose Gold in new packaging which is also a beautiful shade but a lot 'pinker' than the top blush as you can see. So I decided to swatch the two to see if there was a big difference when on the skin.....
Well as you can see there is!
The 'new' Rose Gold is most definitely pink based with a slight shimmer to it and it really reminds me of the limited edition blush Sleek bought out a while a go from the Aqua Collection.
I adore the new shade (as a shade itself) but a bit disappointed that when I run out of my original Rose Gold I won't be able to get hold of it again.
Do you own either of these blushers (new or old) and does anyone know when these changed, maybe I missed the boat when they changed it, anyway, if I did I thought I would write this post anyway to show you the difference between the two.
Do you love Sleek blushers as much as me (I think I have 5 of them now)?
