MUA Matte Lipsticks.....

I am a huge MUA (Make Up Academy) lipstick fan and most beauty lovers will own at least one of their lipsticks. They cost a tiny £1.00 and are amazing value for money. While I was browsing my local MUA stand last week I noticed they had finally got the new MUA Matte Lipsticks in stock so I grabbed one and after testing it out I picked up another shade today. They were released in September and come in 5 different shades, my Superdrug only had 2 shades available so I got.....

Wild Berry and Pouty Pink, again like the rest of the MUA lipstick range these cost £1.00 each.....

When I first tested them out, I thought the texture was slightly odd, they are really waxy and can be difficult to apply. I would definitely recommend building the colour up slightly as after just one application the colour pay off wasn't great but after a couple of layers I was really impressed. What impressed me the most was the staying power of the lipsticks, for me they lasted much longer than my regular MUA lipsticks and I really like the matte effect.....

Top is Pouty Pink which is a bright bubblegum/barbie pink and bottom is Wild Berry a light berry shade, I have been wearing Wild Berry a lot as I think it's very autumnal.

Some people may not like the waxy texture so could be put of them for that reason but for me, it's all about the staying power! I am definitely hoping to pick up some more shades when my local Superdrug restock. These will be firm favourites in my MUA lippie collection.....

Have you tried these yet? Do you like the matte lipstick look?
