I have always walked past the MeMeMe stand in my local Superdrug and gazed at what they have to offer but I have never bought anything, not too sure why as I love the whole look of the range so when I heard they had an unbelievable offer on I had to get some.....
Long Wear Satin Lip Stick in shade Coral Cloak RRP £8.50
Blush Me box in shade Bronze RRP £8.50
And I paid.....
£7.00 for both FREE delivery!!!
I love this shade, it's a bright coral (slightly brighter than the picture) and it is extremely long lasting, easy to apply and it is in nice sleek packaging.
These Blush Me boxes are a similar size and style to Benefit's Box O'Powders at a fraction of the price (£10 difference) and I am very impressed, the shade is super shimmery, little fall out and long lasting, it even had a little mirror in the lid just like Benefit and a little MeMeMe brush, but like Benefit's brushes they are quite useless but it is a nice little addition for popping in your handbag.
So want to know the code for this bargain.....Of corse you do!!
Visit the MeMeMe website and chose one lipstick and one blush then enter code big10k at the checkout and you even get FREE delivery!!! They are celebrating reaching 10,000 follwers on facebook so well done MeMeMe, you now have another big fan!! I am not sure how long this offer will last so get in there quick.
Today I was going to post about a bargain I recently bought, but I have woke up on my only full day off and it is scorching here in Cheshire, 9am and already I have my Maxi dress on and have made a picnic.
So my new post will have to wait as I intend on spending the day sunning myself next to the river.
I think everyone in the UK should get some bright clothes on and enjoy this gorgeous weather while it lasts.
You probaly all know or have heard of Latest in Beauty, every 30 days you can pick 3 samples for £1.50 (the price has recently gone up from £1.00 which may be due to the Royal Mail price increase) this is called Little Beauty Box.
So this time I chose:
Tresemme Split End Remedy.
Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint.
Super by Dr Nicholas Perricone Bright Eyed Flawless Eye Cream.
I was quite impressed with some of the sample sizes.
Tresemme Split End Remedy - You get a little pack of 3 10ml samples of the shampoo, conditioner and a leave in treatment which itself is approx 3 uses, you get 2 of these pack so altogether that's 60ml samples.
Liz EarleSheer Tint - I was sent 3 2ml sachets in shades Bare 01, Beige 02 and Beach 03. I would have prefered the choice of having 3 of the same shade but I suppose it gives everyone a chance to test which shade is best for them.
Super Bright Eyed Flawless Eye Cream - These samples are tiny and unfortunatly both of mine were empty but the lovely people at Latest in Beauty are sending me some more which I am very thankful for as I really wanted to try this product.
My only one problem with the Little Beauty box is the range of samples, it's quite a small range (approx 9 to choose from) and sometimes the same sample comes up again and again, saying that it's £1.50 to test out some products so I can't complain.
I have been meaning to post about this product for ages but when I moved house it dissapeared and I have now found it again!
Dr Bronners Magic Soap 18-in-1 Tea Tree pure-castille soap made with organic oils (bit of a mouthful!)
I bought this from a seller on Ebay who specialises in camping equiptment (I will explain) for around £3.00 for 50ml. Some people may remember this product from one of the beauty boxes many months ago but I never got it and heard great things about it.
Now it isn't a 'looker' of a product but it's what's inside that counts.
So what is it for I hear you ask? Well basically anything and everything, it apparently has 18+ uses, some of which I wouldn't try for example using it as a toothpaste (!), washing up with it, cleaning clothes with it, using it to clean your dentures....I could go on lol (hence being in the camping section).
But what I have been using it for is as a face wash, 1 drop foams up and cleanses your whole face and within a week of using it I noticed my blackheads had visibly reduced and also my skin was much less oily!
The picture below is to show you my usage after having it for months!!!
If you suffer from oily/combination skin I would highly recommend using this little product. I would definitly not use it if you have dry skin as you can physically feel your skin tighten after using it and drying it out (great for oily skin).
It comes in many different scents and varies in price depending where you buy it, but considering how long it lasts this is an absolute bargain at £3.00!!
I bought this solid body scrub from LUSH at the weekend, it may not be new to the LUSH range but I had never seen this massive green thing before so asked the lady what it was.....
LUSH Sugar Scrub
'A skin cocktail of sugar, grated ginger and fresh fennel to liven up tired skin and sort out any lumpy bumpy bits.' To me it smells like cut grass and after reading reviews on the LUSH website people agree.
It is huge.....
And the price.....?
I thought this was a huge bargain! The lovely LUSH lady gave me a tip too - how to make it last longer. Most people use it as a sold bar but because it is sugar it disolves after a few uses and can make a mess, but, if you bash it up like so (I used some of my boyfriends weights as I wouldn't have a clue where a hammer or rolling pin was!).....
It lasts a lot longer, keep it in a little tub next to the shower and just use what you need, I have been using this every other day since Saturday *so twice so far) and my skin feels really moisturised, when you use it you can tell it has lots of essential oils in. I guess this will last me at least ten scrubs!
Have you tried any LUSH scrubs?
I also bought a 'Glorious Mud' shower scrub which I am yet to use so I will report back once I have.
I am a huge fan of dry shampoo, I have long thick hair that takes forever to dry/style so dry shampoo saves me washing it every single day! I went into Boots to pick some up and noticed this one.....
I always use Bastiste but I have never tried the one for Blonde hair. It cost £3.99 which I think is a little steep as the rest of the regular Bastiste range is approx £2.99. It says it has a hint of colour.....
I love Bastiste but I have to say I am dissapointed in this one, I sprayed it into my roots (from a distance as usual) and rubbed it in slightly and noticed my scalp was a bright yellow!! I sprayed some on my hand to show you.....
A bright yellow powder, and I got it everywhere, it somehow managed to get all over my clothes, hands, face.....this was all before work, nightmare which ended up in a full change and a shower! So I will not be repurchasing this, but it has definitly not put me off the brand!
Well I posted earlier about my internet being hooked back up (YEY) and I would be posting about a product that has dissapointed me, but that will have to wait as I have just read this months Glamour magazine and on the 31st May when the new issue of Glamour comes out they have some FABULOUS freebies.....
Luxury samples of Benefit products including:
-Bad Gal Mascara.
All 3 together are worth £35!!
I will definitly be picking up 3 mags but you have to be quick, last time Benefit teamed up with a magazine they were sold out everywhere (in my area anyway), so put the 31st May in your diary ladies!!
